Chinese divers became unstoppable after finding back their winning touch by taking two more titles on Thursday at the Kazan Universiade.

Zheng Shuangxue became the first multi goldmedalist of the Chinese delegation at the Kazan Universiade as she teamed up with Chen Ye to garner a total of 314.40 points for the title of women's synchronised 3m springboard. Zheng Shuangxue also won the women' s 3m springboard gold on Wednesday.

In the men's 10m synchronised platform diving, 2008 Olympic champion Huo Liang also took his second gold medal in as many days. Huo Liang and Ying Hong collected a winning total of 433.83 points. The silver was taken by a Russian combination while the bronze medal went to Mexican divers.

The diving tournament of Kazan Universiade will conclude on Friday after four more finals: the women's synchronised 10m platform, the men's synchronised 3m springboard and the men's and women's team events.

South Korean turned out to be the biggest winner of badminton tournament which concluded here on Thursday by taking 5 out of six gold medals on offer.

The South Korean sent half of their national team to Kazan and gained an upper hand over their Chinese opponents who have only one Olympic champion in the team.

The Koreans won the women's singles and doubles, men's doubles, mixed doubles and the team event titles, mostly beating their Chinese counterparts in the finals.

With the badminton golds they won on Thursday, South Korea jumped to the second place on medal table with 12 gold medals, 60 shy of that won by run-away leader Russia.

Japan places third on medal table with 10 gold, followed by China with 9.

With six more matchdays to go and 190 gold medals to be contested, hosts Russia will certainly break the all-time high record of 75 gold medals won by a nation at the Universiade set by China two years ago in Shenzhen, China.

Kazan Universiade features in 351 events of 27 sports and will conclude on July 17.
