Beijing (CNS) -- China's biggest telecom provider China Mobile says it has taken further steps to create a global TD-LTE mobile network.
By June 2012, we had established TD-LTE mobile networks in nine countries, including Japan, Brazil and Sweden, China Mobile's vice general manager Li Zhengmao said Wednesday.
In 2011, China Mobile cooperated with telecom operators in six countries to establish the Global TD-LTE Initiative (GTI), which now has 48 international telecom operators as members.
The company plans to construct half a million base stations across the world by 2014 and cover a population of two billion, said Li.
