Beijing (CNS) - The main electric power supply network of the quake-affected areas in Lushan of Sichuan province resumed operation on May 13, the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) said Monday. The power supply capacity has been returned to the level before the earthquake.
A total of 186,600 local households that suffered from power outages now have electricity or have access to power supply.
The 34 disaster-affected transformer substations with 35 kv and above resumed operation and 263 of the 265 wires with 10 kv and above have also been restored power, according to the SGCC.
In addition, with the restoration of the last four 35–kv substations, the four-level communication network has fully recovered in Ya'an.
The SGCC Sichuan branch has been making plans for post-quake reconstruction and is striving to complete grid transmission and distribution facilities by April 20, 2014.
Before the end of 2015, it also plans to complete grid-improvement projects in the disaster areas.
