Changbai Mountain National Natural Reserve in Yanbian county, Northeast China's Jilin Province, is blooming with wildflowers.

The reserve, on the border between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, is one of the best summer holiday destinations for those seeking cool temperatures. It is home to Tianchi, or Heavenly Lake, a crater lake on top of Changbai Mountain covering an area of 9 square kilometers, 2,194 meters above sea level.
