Yuanxiao, the mascot for the first China International Consumer Products Expo, was unveiled in Haikou, capital of South China's Hainan Province, on March 18, 2021. The mascot is made up of two Hainan gibbons, a male and a female. The female ape is named "Yuanyuan", which sounds like both "ape" and "circle" in Chinese, meaning completeness and reunion.
