But long lines at famous hotpot restaurants often leave guests waiting for up to two hours before they are seated. Until recently it was a meal enjoyed solely in restaurants or prepared by families at home. Hai-Di-Lao, the most well known chain in Beijing, has come up with a new solution: home delivery, where customers order online or by phone.

A delivery man from Haidilao Hotpot said: "Delivery does not take up any space at the restaurant. It is more convenient and more private and not too noisy. There is no need to worry about driving home while drunk." Customers get the same level of quality as they would in a restaurant, but in the comfort of their own home. After eating, one more call to the restaurant and the same delivery man returns to dispose of everything.

過去幾年，中國外賣食品的選擇主要限制在西式快餐合資企業(yè)，如肯德基、麥當(dāng)勞、必勝客等。現(xiàn)在，海底撈推出了火鍋外賣，顧客就可以舒服地在家訂火鍋，還可以享受到充分的餐桌服務(wù).
