The top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump signed a "comprehensive" agreement on Tuesday afternoon.?
Here are key points from the joint statement signed by Kim and Trump after the historic summit in Singapore:?
1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establishing new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
2. The United States and the DPRK will join efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to working towards complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

Kim left Sentosa island and arrived at the hotel where he stayed in Singapore after his summit with Trump ended.

Kim said "the world will see a major change" as he signed what he called a “historic” joint document with Trump.
The US president said the agreement was "pretty comprehensive," though details of the document were not immediately released. Trump did say the DPRK’s denuclearization process will be starting “very quickly,” in response to a question from a journalist.
Trump also said he “absolutely” would invite Kim to the White House, when asked by a reporter, and added that he expected to see the DPRK leader many times in the future.?

An expanded bilateral meeting between the US and the DPRK began after one-on-one talks between Trump and Kim Jong Un ended.
Trump told Kim at the beginning of the meeting: "We will solve this, we will be successful, and I look forward to working on it with you. It will be done."

U.S. President Donald Trump has left for the Capella Hotel on Singapore’s Sentosa Island for his historic meeting with the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un.?
Trump is fully prepared for the summit and will talk with Kim with “positive attitude,” U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Monday at a news conference in Singapore, adding that the U.S. objective is complete, verifiable denuclearization.
Trump arrived in Singapore on Sunday evening, flying in from the G7 Summit in Canada.
