China slams Washington's genocide claim as the 'biggest lie of the century'

China said on Tuesday that the Biden administration's report renewing genocide allegations against China in Xinjiang is the "biggest lie of the century."

The U.S. report, which claimed that President Joe Biden's government will safeguard human rights all around the world, is "absurd and laughable," Zhao Lijian, a spokesperson for China's Foreign Ministry said in a regular press briefing.

Zhao made the remarks in response to the U.S. State Department's annual report on genocide and atrocities prevention released on Monday.
