Staff at the Bengbu Design and Research Institute for the Glass Industry in Anhui province showed off the world’s thinnest float glass on Wednesday.
This type of glass is most often used for cellphone touch screens, with improved light transmittance and flexibility.
The ultra-thin float glass is just 0.12mm thick, slightly thicker than a sheet of printer paper. It was produced last year and tops the previous record.
