Picturesque scenery of Ili River Valley

(ECNS) -- In early spring, the river froze in the Aheyazi Grand Canyon in Zhaosu County, shining brightly clear in the sunshine.

Deep in the valley, pine forests and peaks are covered with snow, together creating a picture like a Chinese ink wash painting.

The Aheyazi Grand Canyon sits at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains, south of Zhaosu County. It is the largest winter pasture in the Ili River Valley, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
