China, U.S. discuss key economic issues

Vice-Premier He Lifeng held a video call on Friday with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, with both sides agreeing to maintain communication on issues of mutual concern. He, the Chinese lead person for China-U.S. economic and trade affairs, and Bessent had an in-depth exchange on key economic issues between China and the United States, focusing on the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. Both sides agreed on the importance of China-U.S. economic and trade relations and agreed to maintain communication on issues of mutual concern.
